Algorithm

A number of individual wave generators are combined at various intensities and frequencies then mapped to hue, saturation and brightness values. The interaction of the various waves can produce very complex patterns.

The patterns can also be drawn in grayscale in order to better see the underlying structure of a set of wave generators, or blended into previously generated patterns in order to further increase their complexity.
